San Francisco 49ers rookie safety Malik Mustapha recently asked fans on X (formerly Twitter) whether he should change his jersey number. It seems he's made his decision.
Mustapha will debut a new number when he hits the practice field on Tuesday, and he isn't the only rookie making a switch ahead of the Week 1 matchup against the New York Jets.
According to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, the following rookies have updated their jersey numbers:
Tuesday's practice is a bonus session. The 49ers will begin their regular game week practice schedule on Thursday before hosting the Jets at Levi's Stadium in one week.
