According to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, as expected, Brandon Aiyuk is scheduled to practice with his teammates for the first time since February.
WR Brandon Aiyuk, who signed a multi-year extension with the 49ers last week, is expected this morning to participate in his first practice with the 49ers since last season.
Last week, Aiyuk signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension, keeping him with the 49ers through the 2028 season. The signing followed a lengthy contract standoff during which the receiver requested a trade before reporting to training camp. Aiyuk has not participated in practices or preseason games, effectively "holding in" during negotiations.
With their regular-season opener against the New York Jets just six days away, the 49ers are approaching full strength as they gear up for another championship run. The team is favored to represent the NFC in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
