The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 1 contest against the New York Jets on Monday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Linebacker Dee Winters and defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos continue to work on the side after sustaining injuries during San Francisco's preseason finale. Winters is recovering from an ankle injury, while Gross-Matos is dealing with a knee issue.

Christian McCaffrey, who missed most of training camp and the entire preseason due to a calf and Achilles injury, remains limited in practice. However, the 49ers expect their star running back to be ready for Monday night's game.

"Christian's doing great," general manager John Lynch said Friday morning. "We've got to finish the week here, but he looks like Christian, and that's a good thing for us. He's looked like Christian out here at practice. ... So Christian's looking really good.

"Obviously, we want to see him progress through the week, but we had confidence that Christian would be ready, and he's doing very well. He takes tremendous care of his body and takes so much pride in that, and he'll be out there and ready to roll."

Meanwhile, wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and tackle Trent Williams continue to work their way back after recently signing new contracts with the 49ers.

Below are Friday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Jets, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
