Brock Purdy had plenty to smile about on Saturday. The San Francisco 49ers quarterback watched his alma mater, the Iowa State Cyclones, edge out the Iowa Hawkeyes 20-19 in a dramatic finish. Purdy's wife, Jenna, captured the quarterback's joyous reaction and shared it on Instagram for fans to see.

With the victory, Iowa State improved to 2-0, while Iowa fell to 1-1. Purdy's teammate, 49ers tight end George Kittle, is a proud Hawkeyes alum, and the two players placed their annual bet on the game's outcome. This time, Purdy came out on top.

During his four seasons with the Cyclones, Purdy posted a 30-17 record, completing 67.7 percent of his passes for 12,170 yards, 81 touchdowns, and 33 interceptions. He also contributed 1,177 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns on 365 carries.
