Bay Area icon Frank Gore was inducted into the Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. San Francisco 49ers Hall of Fame on Sunday evening. The former NFL running back will be further honored at halftime during Monday night's game between the 49ers and the New York Jets at Levi's Stadium.
You can watch footage from Sunday's ceremony below, where Gore was introduced by his former teammate, quarterback Alex Smith.
Gore, a five-time Pro Bowl selection and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's All-Decade Team for the 2010s, became the 31st member of the prestigious team Hall of Fame.
During his remarkable 16-year NFL career, Gore appeared in 241 games (218 starts), playing for the San Francisco 49ers (2005-14), Indianapolis Colts (2015-17), Miami Dolphins (2018), Buffalo Bills (2019), and New York Jets (2020). He recorded 16,000 rushing yards and 81 rushing touchdowns on 3,735 carries, along with 484 receptions for 3,985 yards and 18 receiving touchdowns during his time in the NFL.
Gore's 11,073 rushing yards with the 49ers remain the most by any player in franchise history.
