Save the best for last—the 49ers round out the NFL Week 1 slate with Monday Night Football against the New York Jets at Levi's Stadium. What should we expect (to eat) this season?

Levi's Stadium and Levy Restaurants hosted their third-annual concessions showcase event where I had the chance to try out some of the game-day eats.

Alvin Kabiling heads into his second year as Levi's Stadium and Levy Restaurants' Senior Executive Chef. With one season under his belt, Kabiling recognizes the Bay Area "foodie" fans and looks forward to stepping up his game.

"Quality in all aspects—not just at the suite level—is something I'm looking to emphasize this season", Kabiling said.

Kabiling mentioned they have hired 25 new staff members to his team to improve the quality and experience at Levi's Stadium.

Representatives from local vendors such as Kabob Trolley, Toto's Pizzeria, and IB's Cheesesteaks were featured, showcasing a variety of cuisines. Some notable items included Beef Birria Pupusas, Nacho Duo, Bulgogi Cheesesteak, Cannolis, and Butter Chicken Wings.

The stadium will also be introducing "frictionless" concession areas this season. Fans can grab food and beverages with a quick scan from their smart phones to skip the traditional checkout process.

"Our concessions experience is the most important part of providing the Faithful a world-class fan experience, and we want every game at Levi's Stadium to hit that high bar," said Nick Wolfe, VP of Hospitality & Retail for the 49ers and Levi's Stadium.

"In addition to curated local cuisine at the stadium, we're excited to debut a set of innovative technologies like our new frictionless checkout areas this year that will allow fans to enjoy as much of the game as possible."
