Pro Football Focus has announced its Team of the Week following Week 3's action, and despite a tough loss, two San Francisco 49ers players stood out, earning spots on the honorary roster. Quarterback Brock Purdy and wide receiver Jauan Jennings were recognized for their outstanding performances.

Purdy completed 22 of 30 pass attempts for 292 yards and three touchdowns, earning a passer rating of 137.1. His 91.1 Pro Football Focus grade was the highest among all quarterbacks in Week 3 and his best since Week 10 of last season, when the 49ers faced the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"It seemed like Brock played his ass off, from what I saw," head coach Kyle Shanahan said after the game. "He made a bunch of big plays. He took some good shots down the field. ... When stuff wasn't there, he did a hell of a job scrambling, making some off-schedule plays, and from what I saw, I thought he played his ass off."

Jennings also shined, catching 11 passes for 175 yards and all three of Purdy's touchdown throws. He was the highest-graded wide receiver in Week 3, earning an overall grade of 90.5.

"Jennings averaged a whopping 5.15 yards per route run for the 49ers this week, pulling in three touchdowns and racking up four plays of 15-plus yards," wrote analyst Gordon McGuinness. "He was a monster in contested catch situations, too, pulling in five of his six contested targets."

Additionally, Jennings' stellar performance earned him Pro Football Focus' Offensive Player of the Week honors.

"He's a dog, man," Purdy said of Jennings after Sunday's loss. "Absolutely love Jauan. Just the way he comes in every day and then brings energy to our offense, man, with some huge plays and sparks energy and just his love for the game, man. You can see it and you feel it when you're on the field with him, so absolutely love that guy. Will go to war with him any day of the week."

The 49ers will aim to bounce back this weekend as they host the New England Patriots at Levi's Stadium.
