The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 7 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Wide receiver woes

It's starting to look like wide receiver Jauan Jennings might not suit up for Sunday's Super Bowl LVIII rematch. He has not practiced this week due to a lingering hip injury, which raises concerns about his availability. Jennings' absence would be a setback for the 49ers' offense, as he has been a reliable target this season.

Jennings isn't the only receiver dealing with injury. Deebo Samuel, who sustained a wrist injury in last week's victory over the Seattle Seahawks, continues to wear a blue no-contact jersey during practice. While rookie Ricky Pearsall continues to practice, it seems unlikely he will be activated off the non-football injury (NFI) list ahead of Sunday's game as the team continues to ramp up his workload.

Mason still limited

Running back Jordan Mason, also in a no-contact jersey, is nursing an AC joint sprain suffered in Week 6. If Mason is unavailable, the 49ers will have to rely on rookie Isaac Guerendo and veteran Patrick Taylor, the only other running backs on the active roster.

Kicker dilemma

Neither kicker—Jake Moody nor Matthew Wright—has practiced this week. Moody suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals while making a special teams tackle. Wright, his replacement, suffered shoulder and back injuries in Week 6, also making a tackle on special teams. In response, the 49ers signed kicker Anders Carlson to the practice squad as insurance.

Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Chiefs, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
