Quick Takeaways
The 49ers had planned to ease rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall into his NFL debut, but circumstances forced them to adjust. With Brandon Aiyuk injured, Deebo Samuel sidelined by illness, and Jauan Jennings unavailable, Pearsall ended up playing 48 snaps—the most of any 49ers wide receiver in the game. He finished with three catches for 21 yards, earning a 58.0 offensive grade in his first NFL action.
Rookie wide receiver Jacob Cowing played just 12 snaps on Sunday, but his 86.5 overall grade was the highest among his teammates, slightly edging out tight end George Kittle, who posted a season-high 86.3 offensive grade over 58 snaps. Kittle led the team with six catches for 92 yards on seven targets, while Cowing hauled in two catches for 50 yards on three targets.
Sunday marked the first career receptions for both Pearsall and Cowing.
Quarterback Brock Purdy struggled, throwing for 212 yards with three interceptions and completing just 54.8 percent of his passes. His performance earned him a season-low 54.6 offensive grade, his lowest mark since Week 6 of last season against the Cleveland Browns.
Left guard Aaron Banks stood out as the 49ers' highest-graded offensive lineman with a 79.9 offensive grade, his second-highest of the season (81.5 in Week 5 vs. the Cardinals). He also received the game's top run-blocking grade (78.1).
Left tackle Trent Williams earned the 49ers' best pass-blocking grade at 75.4 and did not allow a pressure during the game.
- RT Colton McKivitz, RG Dominick Puni - 2 each
- C Jake Brendel, LG Aaron Banks - 1 each
Right guard Dominick Puni earned a 61.0 offensive grade and a 54.3 run-blocking grade, his lowest marks in the past four games.
Defensive end Nick Bosa came away with the team's best defensive grade at 72.0. He also led the team in pressures for the second consecutive week, generating five on 30 pass-rushing snaps.
Defensive end Robert Beal Jr. earned the highest pass-rushing grade at 67.9, slightly ahead of Bosa's 67.1 mark, though Beal's grade came from a much smaller sample size of three pass-rushing snaps.

- DE Maliek Collins - 3

Safety Malik Mustapha made some impressive stops before being embarrassed by Patrick Mahomes at the goal line late in the game. Despite this, he earned a team-high 73.9 run-defense grade.
"They always remember that one play. I just try to do my part," Mustapha said after the game. "Sometimes I got got. Got to look in the mirror and be better."
Cornerback Charvarius Ward posted a team-best 77.2 coverage grade and 79.0 tackling grade, making him the second-highest-graded 49ers defender with a 69.7 overall mark.
Linebacker Fred Warner's once elite season grade has dipped to 91.8 after three consecutive subpar outings, though his 65.0 defensive grade against the Chiefs was his best in the last three games.
