The San Francisco 49ers announced they have waived linebacker Jalen Graham from the active roster and released kicker Anders Carlson from the practice squad. Graham's departure comes after the team traded for defensive tackle Khalil Davis. Carlson's release follows reports that the 49ers intend to sign veteran safety Tashaun Gipson to the practice squad.
The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown.
Graham (6-3, 220) originally signed to the team's active roster on October 1, 2024 and appeared in two games with the team.
Carlson (6-5, 219) originally signed to the team's practice squad on October 15, 2024. He was activated twice as a standard practice squad elevation and connected on each of his five field goal attempts and three of his four extra point attempts.
