The San Francisco 49ers solidified their defensive backfield this week by extending cornerback Deommodore Lenoir with a five-year contract initially reported to be worth $92 million. However, a more precise breakdown from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk revealed the value to be slightly less than initially reported. Florio's report also included additional contract details, which are outlined here.

Later, OverTheCap.com provided a detailed year-by-year breakdown of Lenoir's contract, which ties him to the 49ers through the 2029 season. The site reports the deal is worth up to $89.8 million, including $15.47 million fully guaranteed and a $13.07 million signing bonus. The previously cited $92 million figure appears to represent his total salary cap impact through 2029.

"I've been a West Coast guy my whole life," Lenoir shared, expressing his enthusiasm about securing a long-term deal with the 49ers. "The camaraderie within the team, all the players, my brothers, my family. My family is from this side, so I knew it was a place that I could see myself long-term."

Below is the complete breakdown of Lenoir's salary cap impact through 2029. The cornerback was previously set to hit free agency after the 2024 season. According to OverTheCap.com, Lenoir is now the 12th highest-paid cornerback in the NFL based on average annual salary.
