According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is unlikely to play in today's matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Kittle, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, was listed as questionable on the team's injury report. He missed practice on Wednesday and was a limited participant on Thursday and Friday.
"The 49ers want to see how Kittle is feeling pregame before making any final decision, per sources," Schefter reported. "But they are not optimistic that their Pro-Bowl tight end will be available versus Seattle."

While Kittle's absence would be a significant blow to San Francisco's offense, the injury is not considered a long-term issue. Schefter mentioned there is a "realistic chance" the star tight end could return for the 49ers' next game against the Green Bay Packers.
"But it is going to be challenging to play Sunday against the Seahawks, and there was concern earlier in the week that this might be the case," Schefter added.
Trent Williams hopes to play
Meanwhile, offensive tackle Trent Williams, also listed as questionable, remains optimistic about playing despite not practicing this week due to an ankle injury. According to Schefter, Williams believes he can suit up, but his availability will ultimately depend on his performance during pregame evaluations.

Both players' statuses are critical as the 49ers prepare for a divisional showdown with the Seahawks, aiming to maintain their momentum in the close NFC West race.
