The San Francisco 49ers entered Sunday's matchup against the Chicago Bears without several key players, including defensive end Nick Bosa, tackle Trent Williams, and guard Aaron Banks. Bosa is sidelined with hip and oblique injuries, Williams is dealing with an ankle issue, and Banks remains in the concussion protocol.
Last week, running back Christian McCaffrey was placed on injured reserve after suffering a PCL injury. On Saturday, McCaffrey was joined by running back Jordan Mason, sidelined with a high-ankle sprain, and safety George Odum, who is dealing with a knee injury.
Here are the latest in-game injury updates for the 49ers. This article will be updated as new injuries are reported.
RB Isaac Guerendo (foot, questionable)
Rookie running back Isaac Guerendo entered the medical tent for evaluation during the fourth quarter and was replaced by Patrick Taylor. Following the initial examination, Guerendo headed to the locker room with just over six minutes remaining in the game.
The 49ers announced that Guerendo is questionable to return due to a foot injury. If he does not return, the running back will have finished the day with 78 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.
OL Ben Bartch (ankle, out)
Ben Bartch, stepping in for left guard Aaron Banks, went down during the 49ers' second offensive drive. He managed to walk off the field with a noticeable limp and immediately entered the medical tent for evaluation. Spencer Burford stepped in at left guard.
Bartch was later carted to the locker room and initially listed as questionable to return due to an ankle injury. The 49ers eventually ruled him out.
