Quick Takeaways
RG Dominick Puni
Rookie right guard Dominick Puni was the 49ers' highest-graded player for the second consecutive week. He followed last week's career-best 89.3 offensive grade with an even higher 93.4, setting a new personal benchmark. Puni is now the 49ers' second-highest graded offensive lineman this season with an 85.2 offensive grade, narrowly trailing left tackle Trent Williams (85.6). Against the Bears, Puni allowed two pressures in 30 pass-blocking snaps, earning a 68.9 pass-blocking grade. However, his standout 92.1 run-blocking grade—the highest of the game—boosted his overall performance.
Left guard Ben Bartch exited early due to a high-ankle sprain. Before the injury, he recorded the best pass-blocking grade (78.9) among 49ers offensive linemen, allowing no pressures in his limited snaps. Pressures allowed among O-line:
- RG Dominick Puni - 2
- C Jake Brendel, LG Spencer Burford, RT Colton McKivitz, LT Jaylon Moore - 1 each
TE George Kittle
Tight end George Kittle had a dominant outing, recording a season-high 151 receiving yards on six receptions. This marks his fifth career game with 150 or more receiving yards. Kittle's 91.7 offensive grade is also his highest of the season.
QB Brock Purdy
Quarterback Brock Purdy earned a 90.3 offensive grade, his second-best of the season (91.1 in Week 3 vs. Rams). Purdy completed 20 of 25 passes (80%) for 325 yards and two touchdowns, finishing with a 145.4 passer rating. Sunday marked Purdy's sixth career game with a passer rating of 140.0 or higher and his 10th game of 130.0 or higher, both NFL records for a quarterback in their first three seasons.
RB Isaac Guerendo
Running back Isaac Guerendo finished the game with the team's best pass-blocking grade, earning a mark of 79.1. He tallied 78 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries in his first NFL start, adding two receptions for 50 yards. Guerendo exited in the fourth quarter with a foot injury, finishing with a 74.2 offensive grade.
Linebacker Jalen Graham posted the team's highest defensive grade (81.1), albeit on just seven snaps. De'Vondre Campbell (80.3) and Dee Winters (78.4) followed closely behind. Campbell's grade marked a season-high and his best since Week 7 of 2022 (94.3 vs. Commanders). Winters earned the team's highest coverage grade (90.2).
CB Renardo Green
Cornerback Renardo Green stood out as the 49ers' top-graded defensive back with a 74.2 defensive grade, bolstered by an 80.8 coverage grade. However, his performance was marred by a 38.8 run defense grade and a 29.6 tackling grade, which included a missed tackle.
LB Fred Warner
Linebacker Fred Warner had a mixed outing, posting a modest 60.0 defensive grade but leading all players in the game with an 80.5 run defense grade. Warner recorded three tackles but also missed two, resulting in a 28.2 tackling grade—the second-lowest on the team (DT Khalil Davis, 23.0).
