The San Francisco 49ers will hold their lone full practice of a shortened week on Tuesday evening as they prepare for Thursday night's pivotal NFC West clash against the Los Angeles Rams. However, the team will be without one of its emerging offensive contributors.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that rookie running back Isaac Guerendo will not practice due to the foot sprain sustained during Sunday's 38-13 victory over the Chicago Bears. While his absence from practice raises concerns, it doesn't necessarily rule him out for the Week 15 matchup.
On Monday, Shanahan emphasized that the 49ers are prepared to wait until game day before deciding on Guerendo's status. A day later, the coach noted that nothing had changed on that front.
"Same as what I told you guys yesterday," Shanahan said.
The other players sidelined from practice are offensive lineman Ben Bartch, who will be placed on injured reserve this week after suffering a high-ankle sprain, tackle Trent Williams (ankle), and defensive end Nick Bosa (hip, oblique).
