San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw made an inspiring return from an Achilles injury last week against the Los Angeles Rams. It marked his first game in 10 months, and while he experienced some knee soreness, he fully expects to suit up for the season's final three games.

Greenlaw is set to become a free agent after the season. On Wednesday, head coach Kyle Shanahan praised the linebacker, calling him one of the best examples of what it means to be a Forty-Niner and expressing hope that the team can find a way to re-sign him.

When asked about his future, Greenlaw clarified that his attention is on the upcoming matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

"Honestly, the only thing that goes to my mind is whooping Miami ass, and just going to go do it with my brothers, having fun, and enjoying the game," Greenlaw said before Wednesday's practice. "I mean, that's gonna come, but you can't think about it. It's gonna come regardless. So I'm just excited to just enjoy the game with my brothers."

Greenlaw also revealed that he hasn't spoken with his representatives about his contract status.

"I ain't even thought about it. Don't care to think about it," Greenlaw shared. "I just want to play the game."

The 49ers will take on the Dolphins on the road this weekend before closing out the season with matchups against the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals. For Greenlaw, every remaining moment on the field is one to savor.

"I'm just excited to just play with my teammates, play with the guys I came in here with, and just go play football, too," Greenlaw said. "I'm just trying to take advantage of the moments, of the time that I do got left, and have fun with it."
