The San Francisco 49ers are determined to finish the season strong as they head into their final three games. First up is a Week 16 showdown against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium, where head coach Kyle Shanahan's squad hopes to secure a much-desired victory.
However, the team will be missing some key contributors. Two players have already been ruled out, and the full list of inactive players will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
Guerendo, who played through a foot sprain in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Rams, sustained a hamstring injury during the contest. He was unable to practice this week. Patrick Taylor Jr. is expected to start at running back in his absence.
Meanwhile, Williams will miss his fifth consecutive game as he continues to recover from an ankle injury. Jaylon Moore is likely to step in once again at left tackle.
Others questionable
The 49ers listed three players as questionable for the matchup against the Dolphins. They are defensive ends Nick Bosa and Robert Beal and linebacker Dre Greenlaw.
Greenlaw returned in Week 15 after recovering from an Achilles injury but experienced knee soreness following the game. He was a limited practice participant throughout the week. Despite this, Greenlaw expressed confidence in his availability for Sunday's contest.
Bosa, battling hip and oblique injuries, played through the pain against the Rams. He missed Thursday's practice and was a limited participant on Wednesday and Friday, leaving his status uncertain.
Beal's status is also in doubt after suffering an ankle injury during Friday's practice. His status will be revealed when the list of inactive players is released.
