Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was not among the four San Francisco 49ers players selected for the 2025 Pro Bowl. Instead, he was named as one of four alternates from the team. Despite this recognition, Lenoir voiced his frustration, feeling that his standout season warranted a place on the Pro Bowl roster.

Often criticized as a popularity contest, the Pro Bowl selection process factors in fan voting for one-third of the decision. This makes it challenging for players like Lenoir, who are still building their reputation, to earn a spot on the exclusive NFC roster.
After the Pro Bowl rosters were announced, Lenoir shared his thoughts on social media.
Are we Watching Film or going off names shit not close 💯

The NFC roster includes cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson (Chicago Bears), Byron Murphy (Minnesota Vikings), Jaycee Horn (Carolina Panthers), and Devon Witherspoon (Seattle Seahawks).
Statistically, Lenoir has a strong case for Pro Bowl consideration. According to Pro Football Focus, opposing quarterbacks have managed just a 72.6 passer rating when targeting him this season. He has recorded two interceptions and hasn't allowed a touchdown in nearly a year—his last conceded score was during last season's NFC Championship Game. His most recent regular-season touchdown allowed dates back to Week 13 of last season against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Lenoir isn't the only one disappointed by his exclusion.
"For Lenore not to get it is a big-time snub," said Al Sacco of the No Huddle Podcast. "... He's not as well recognized yet anyway, so he doesn't get in. But I thought that was a shame. I hope there's a way that he can get there because Deommodore Lenoir deserved it.
"Deommodore Lenoir is the number one corner in this league, and he deserved to be in the Pro Bowl. So, for him not to be there, man, that is a huge snub to me."

The 49ers recently expressed their confidence in Lenoir by signing him to a substantial five-year extension, ensuring that the defensive standout remains a cornerstone of the roster for years to come.
