Banjo, 34, a former defensive back, played for the Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, and Arizona Cardinals before joining the Broncos' coaching staff in 2023, where he worked alongside special teams coordinator Ben Kotwica.
Most of Banjo's playing time in the NFL came as a key special teams contributor. His interview with the 49ers was conducted virtually.
