Ever since the very moment Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs stamped their ticket to Super Bowl LIX to face the Philadelphia Eagles, it's been somewhat of a torturous experience for at least some 49ers fans in deciding on their respective rooting interest.
In a perfect world, which appears to not exist, a Commanders-Bills matchup would have made things infinitely easier for fans of the Niners—and perhaps NFL fans in general—to not necessarily even have to pick a side, but rather simply enjoy the game.
Had just one of those two teams found their way to victory last Sunday, rooting for the incredibly entertaining and likable Jayden Daniels or Josh Allen would have hardly been a lofty task.
But it is what it is, and for fans of the 49ers out there who still find themselves in limbo, star wide receiver Deebo Samuel has officially announced who he'll be rooting for on February 9 in New Orleans.
Here's what Deebo had to say:
"They [the Chiefs] beat me twice [in the Super Bowl] so I got all the reason to hate," said the popular 29-year-old wideout. "It's the Chiefs and the Eagles, you know I got a love-hate for both, but you know I got all the love for my brother A.J. Brown over there, so I definitely want to see him win. I definitely don't want to see Mahomes get the third one. So yeah, I'm rocking with A.J. and Saquon with this one for sure."

In all honesty, it's a completely fair statement from Samuel.
As a prominent, vocal player, despite any and all recent existing "beef" with the Eagles, none of it has compared to the ultimate heartbreak of losing a Super Bowl—twice, and both in painful fashion no less.
It's also worth noting that Samuel does not have any plans of tuning in to watch the game, regardless of his strong feelings in seeing Brown and Barkley get a ring.
"Not gonna be too much in tune with the game, but would like to see that outcome for sure," Samuel stated.
As for any 49ers fans still trying to pick a side, a nice sampling of voters in the following poll happen to be overwhelmingly on board with the beloved Samuel:
If you have to pick one, which team do you want to see win Super Bowl LIX?

And this poll was conducted before Deebo's decision was dropped.
Remember, as insufferable as some might find Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, "Big Dom," and the polarizing Philly fan base in general, had it not been for some late fourth quarter and overtime heroics from Mahomes, the 49ers would have two Super Bowl rings over the last five seasons.
Facts are facts, and the temperature of the Niners fan base would certainly feel a whole lot different if seven Lombardi Trophies were currently sitting on display at the Levi's Stadium Museum.
