According to Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports, the Jacksonville Jaguars have requested an interview with San Francisco 49ers assistant offensive line coach Cameron Clemmons for their offensive line coach position under newly hired head coach Liam Coen.

Clemmons, who was hired in 2024, just wrapped up his first season with the 49ers. Prior to that, he spent four seasons (2020-23) with the Las Vegas Raiders. He served as the Raiders' assistant offensive line coach from 2021 to 2023 after initially joining the team as an offensive quality control coach in 2020.

In 2023, Clemmons supported an offensive line that averaged the fewest penalties per game (4.41) and committed the third-fewest holding penalties (11) in the NFL. In 2022, Clemmons worked with a unit that helped the Raiders offense rush for 2,059 yards, the most by the team since the 2007 season. That offensive line also paved the way for RB Josh Jacobs to claim the NFL's rushing title with 1,653 rush yards. In 2021, Clemmons helped the Raiders offensive line produce the sixth-ranked passing offense in the NFL (268.6 yards per game) with a 4,000-yard passer in QB Derek Carr (4,804 passing yards) and a 1,000-yard receiver in WR Hunter Renfrow (1,038 receiving yards).
In his first year as an NFL coach in 2020, Clemmons worked with the Raiders tight ends group as an offensive quality control coach. He worked closely with TE Darren Waller, who was named to the 2021 Pro Bowl after registering career highs in receptions (107), receiving yards (1,196) and touchdowns (nine).
Clemmons began his coaching career at the collegiate level, serving four seasons (2016-19) as a graduate assistant/offensive quality control analyst at the University of Tennessee and one season (2015) as an offensive intern at Eastern Kentucky University. In 2019, Clemmons guided OL Trey Smith, who was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021, to earning First-Team All-SEC honors and was part of a staff that led Tennessee to its first bowl game appearance since 2016. As a graduate assistant at Tennessee, Clemmons worked primarily with the running backs, helping RB Alvin Kamara register 1,188 yards from scrimmage in his final collegiate season. Kamara was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Clemmons also participated in the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship with the New England Patriots in 2017 while he was a graduate assistant. He worked with the club throughout the offseason program, mini-camp and training camp to gain experience coaching at the professional level.
A native of Mt. Juliet, TN, Clemmons spent five years (2010-14) at Western Kentucky University, where he appeared in 46 games playing along the offensive line throughout his collegiate career and earned Second-Team All-Conference USA honors his senior season, while also starting on the offensive line of the East-West Shrine All-Star Game. Clemmons signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Diego Chargers in 2015 before playing one season in the Canadian Football League with the Ottawa Redblacks. He earned his bachelor's degree in biochemistry at Western Kentucky before earning a master's degree in agricultural leadership, education and communications from Tennessee in 2018.
