The San Francisco 49ers are entering the final stretch of preparations for the 2025 NFL Draft and are continuing to wrap up their pre-draft evaluations. As part of the process, the team is meeting with various draft prospects, with many of those interviews taking place virtually.
According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network, the 49ers recently held a virtual interview with Pitt wide receiver Konata Mumpfield.

Mumpfield led the Panthers with 813 receiving yards last season and tied for second on the team with five touchdown receptions, per Sports Reference. His 15.6 yards per catch also topped the team.
Over four collegiate seasons—three at Pitt following a transfer from Akron—Mumpfield has totaled 2,691 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns.
"On the field, I feel like I'm the best separator in the draft," Mumpfield told Melo in a recent interview. "That's my honest opinion. I can win at all levels. I win short, intermediate, and deep routes. I know how to separate. I can win against press. I can go on the outside and win consistently against press."
At the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Mumpfield measured 5-foot-11 and 186 pounds. He ran a 4.59-second 40-yard dash and recorded a 36-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-4 broad jump during on-field drills.
