The San Francisco 49ers announced today that they will hold Chip Kelly's official introductory press conference on Wednesday, January 20 at 11 AM Pacific. The media will have their first opportunity to ask Kelly questions since he was hired on Thursday, January 14.
The press conference will be held in the auditorium within Levi's Stadium and both CEO Jed York and general manager Trent Baalke will be present.
Why the delay? The team said that it was due to scheduling conflicts along with the fact that Kelly and the 49ers have been working to assemble his coaching staff.
Levi's Stadium is preparing to host Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, February 7.
