Why arent there more trades in here? One trade all year long? I thought it was a good one for me getting Quentin for Lackey but it blows now!

I don't like trading..every league I play in, people LOVE trading like crazy.

I don't get it.. I draft the players I did for a reason..why would I wanna give em away?

People normally like trading because its fun. Being a GM of a team is more than just drafting. It is also looking for trades that can help both teams. Obviously, in here managers seem to agree with you because no one even bothers to offer trades up or counter proposals.

Yeah I think a total of one trade has been sent to me for approval is 1. Yet there are a million waiver wire moves. I'm a big trade guy and have sent off quite a few trade offers.

To jrg's point, well you must have incredible luck if all your drafts go exactly the way you plan them to. How often are strategies messed up when the guy in front of you snatches up the guy you coveted? You can't always build a perfectly balanced team. Sometimes the players you pick show different skills than what you were accounting for origionally. That's why I trade, either to fine tune or to rob a panicking owner of their slow starting stud.

I dont remember any offers for me. Is my team that bad that there is no one you might be interested in?

Im just happy that I am working my way up a bit and not in the cellar. Of course, that can change in just a week.

Nah I havn't sent you any. I need first baseman help adn pitching help. Which is exactly what you're week at. Outside Verlander anyways. I'm strong in outfield which is your strong point as well so it doesn't really sem like we're very good trade partners.

You are right. I dont see my pitching as that weak however. Verlander might be a top 5 pitcher right now and hopefully Webb will be back soon. Verlander, Webb, Wainwright, would be a solid 1-3. As far as 1b goes.. yep very weak for me there.

uh no. this is why i wouldn't attempt to trade for verlander right now.

PS: Also, you'd be lucky to have Webb back in a month.

LOL.. Dont worry. I am not trading Verlander anyway. He leads the majors in K's and has just been totally dominant since his first couple of starts.
I'm very strongly considering shortening the roster move limit to 5 weekly. Since the first couple weeks no one has gotten close to the roster limit except for people who are doing a lot of streaming. I've made it clear my opinion of streaming (I'm not talking about picking up one or two pitchers a week for spot starts) and it seems like 5 is more than sufficient for the non streaming folks.

If you guys give me a good reason to keep it at 7 I will listen but otherwise it's changing to 5 in the near future.

Nope, I totally agree with 5(or less).

Fine by me
It must be the curse of the league commissioner or something

My team looks awesome on paper but it's just not coming together at all.
Lost 2-7 this week. If I don't win at least 6-4 next week it's curtains for me for the year.
Personally I think its wrong to change the rules in the middle of the year. Whatever the rules were to start the season should stick. You as commisioner made it 7 moves so thats where it should stick.

Everyone has the ability to work their team. When you have major injuries (like losing your top SP for 1/2 the year) you have to do what it takes. I know I make a lot of moves but its more out of necessity than anything else.

Sorry for beaing you so bad! I can at least say I got over .500 for a week after a 16-32 start.
I find it very amusing that you would think that.
