Just had my first draft of the season!

I did mine too, it went something like

QB: Peyton Manning, Eli Manning
RB: Frank Gore, Reggie Bush, Willie Parker
WR: Chad Ochocinco, Steve Breaston, Josh Morgan, and 2 other guys I forgot
TE: Vernon Davis
D/ST: San Diego

I draft Vernon Davis every year

I always draft Vernon every year also...usually last pick. And I most likely drop him by October

That team looks gross.
This was mine:
QB: Brees, Cutler
RB: Gore, R. Brown, McFadden, Beanie, R. Rice, S. Greene
WR: V. Jackson, M. Crabtree, T. Holt, P. Harvin
TE: V. Davis, A. Gates
DST: 49ers
K: Nedney

I love my backfield!!!!!

Your backfield is sick for now. It'll be average by the time you trade a couple away for WR help.

I agree.

You know...I have used this philosophy before and it has worked every time. You are right about my WRs, but I do believe that Holt will put up big numbers with his new team and Crabtree is going off. I believe that by mid season, he will be our #1 catching everything in site...maybe too gung ho, but I can find some nice bargins during the season at WR like I did the last two years.

RBs have always been my top priority as I can get great trades for them especially at the WR position.

I am very set at TE, too. I know your disdain for Davis, but this is the year he does break out, finally. We shall see.

Here's the thing. You are just deep at RB. It's not as if you have the top 3 guys to float out there. In order to make up the difference you are certainly going to lose at WR. You will have to choose the right 2 RB's to float out there.

You are right it is easy to find WR's compared to other positions. But what good is having 45 points on the bench from RB's while you're starting WR's get you 12-14 combined.

because you can always get somebody hard up and desperate because they are sick of losing while not having any RB....and their stud WR just had a bad game....bingo bango

Even if thats the case no way he falls to 24 (assuming 12 team league) shouldn't even fall to 20 in a 10 man. Hell he shouldn't even fall to yahoo's ranking for that matter. Not saying that he hasn't. just saying that he shouldn't.
jesus christ.. already? lol
