Basically we have two popular and conflicting fantasy football strategies going on here.
The SRBT (Stud Running Back Theory) which lots of people use...taking back to back 1st and 2nd round Runningbacks like ninerlifer and jrg did.
And the less popular SWRT (Stud Wide Receiver Theory) of taking WR/WR like Slick and I did.

DeAngelo Williams and Brandon Jacobs? Might as well mark me off for winning the TD category each week.

Ah, crap....I just realized the scoring categories are head-to-head.
So this isn't just an accumulation of fantasy points? What are the categories?

Pete it IS an accumulation of fantasy points.
But it's head to head as well.
It's not like basketball where you break down by category.
Here is an example....

At the end of the day, none of these early picks matter, regardless of your draft strategy.
Fantasy leagues are won with 5th-8th round steals
like Matt Forte or Antonio Bryant last year, etc.

Last year, DeAngelo was the #1 RB
Brandon Jacobs was the #20 RB.
Jacobs scores a lot, but he doesn't catch any passes at all. And this is a PPR league.
DeAngelo doesn't catch very many passes either, but he'll give you 1500 and 15 TDs.

I'll make up the reception part. Just had to get some quick scoring.

I'm feeling a little bit better about losing out on Chris Johnson now that I remembered that Lendale White came into camp in great shape...losing 30 pounds of fat.
Here is what ninerlifer's face will look like every time Lendale White steals a goalline touchdown from Chris Johnson

I was honestly considering Johnson at my first pick til I remembered that as well. White stopped drinking tequila and lost 30 pounds to get more carries.
