It takes nerve to play FF

This is a keeper league though. Calvin was a solid pick.

I think people are drafting QB's too early though.

You just want one of the top QBs to fall to you in round 4.

Actually, I'm not going to draft a QB in any of my first five picks.

Well at least that was my original plan coming in...but I was going by the Yahoo ADP rankings

I think investing in a young proven QB or vet who you know will likely play another 3+ years is a solid idea in a keeper league.
Fuk, another 12 hour workday, and my phone couldnt get online on this for some strange reason. By the way I saw the Pope at Wal Mart 30 minutes ago, and thought to myself "Sixth Ring must still be on the clock". And what do you know?!?!?!

So, thanks for the props guys...it was just how I envisioned it. And I know LenDale is gonna take carries form CJ...just like Jacobs in NY...but....this is a PPR league, and I guarentee you that Johnson will lead the Titans in catches this year. Slaton will see a ton of touches as well, so Im stoked! Wanted Calvin, was about to take him...because I wanted Andre, but....Im good with 2 stud RB's that catch well.

Calvin will be fine. I mean he played on an 0-16 team last year, can i get worse than that?

Draft has gone about howd I expect. I thought LT and Westbrook went a tad early, but if they can squeeze out 1 more year, it'll be worth it. Kind of surprised Chris Johnson slid that far....I guess no one really likes him.

Wow, I think the last few picks have been all great calls. Good job guys. Drew Brees was a fantastic pick. Randy Moss as well.

Brandon Jacobs is a good pick as well. With no WR to throw to, Giants may be running a lot more. There are couple issues with Jacobs though: Injuries and catches.

No Plaxico = the Giants using the ground game more

But that also means Jacobs will take more beating. They lost Derrick Ward but do still have Bradshaw. Jacobs' body seems to have a lot of wear and tear. But for the games he is in, he will give you some good numbers.

The dude is massive. I'm not worried about that. He can take a full football season. Now as for keeping him? That may affect it, yes. Just like Gore with us, everyone says he takes so much wear and tear..but he keeps putting up monster numbers. And thats all that matters, IMO.

Except, he hasn't been able to. Missed 8 games in last two seasons - that's 1 game in every 4 games. Not to mention, he is nicked up pretty good in the games he has played as well.

With no-one to cover in the passing game, 8 men in the box consistently.

Not like its ever been any different w/ him? It works that way w/ any big RB..or any GOOD RB.

8 men in the box or not, I see his carries going up w/o Plaxico.

Not true at all. Several good RBs have stayed consistently healthy. You don't put up 1300 yards year after year unless you play 15-16 games every year. This is why, Jacobs will hover around 1000-1100 yards because he will miss 3-4 games a season. Where he makes up for it is, TDs - but without passing game - that should drop as well this year (fewer snaps at goal-line).

I'm not denying his carries going up. But, I don't think it will result in more fantasy points. Anyway, it is a good pick. Not knocking on your pick, we are just talkin' about concerns with Jacobs.

If I get my 1000-1100 out of my second round pick, I'll be fine.

1000 rushing yards for your 2nd round pick is setting the bar low.

But again, those 1000 yards will come from 12 weeks, not 16. So, the 4 weeks Jacobs will likely miss, jrg can still add another 200+ yards if he has the right back-up.

There is something going on with the site. It was down earlier and Webbie had to restart it then it was down again and now it is back on.

Yeah, especially because this is a keeper league. RBs at 30 years of age are pretty much done, so was a little surprised. I think both Slaton and Chris slipped a little.

The only concern I have of Slaton is his size. Can he handle 16 games year-in, year-out.

I like Slaton alot. I think that O is due to bust out. I'm just very picky in who I like and why I like them. If Slaton has another good year then I'll be sold.

I was debating between Johnson & Jackson. I gave Jackson the slight edge because of he has a better O-Line than he's had in recent years and catches well out of the backfield.

I like Slaton too. I like his O even better, and Alex Gibbs is the OL coach, so the zone blocking works fantastic for Slaton and his abilities as shown last year. Also Houston as an OL that has been together for 2 straight years, and is now a top 10 unit....thats another reason why I took him....AND, PPR league.

I Love Chris
