In the spirit of moving along this draft process as timely as possible, all trades will be under commissioner review first and foremost. However, I am very fair. If there are a sufficient number of people who are against a particular trade.....the trade will be moved to league review....and if six people veto any trade, it will be nullified.
Any trade involving me, the commish, will of course be subject to league review.
Seeing as how you guys continued the draft after this trade was made and no one has really complained about it....then as commish, I approve of your trade.
Personally, I think AB83 gave up a LOT just to trade up 6 spots in the 2nd round.

I'm very upset at this run of quarterbacks in the 2nd round. You guys are destroying my draft strategy.
Guys like Rodgers are going around the 30-40th picks in almost every other league.

So recap.
GameOver receives:
24th and 25th overall pick
AB receives:
Tom Brady (18th overall pick) and 55th overall pick.
I hate these WZ trades...Its a fair deal. Just to be a dick about it though I vote NO, Although it'll get approved anyways.

I thought the same. To move 6 spots up, he moved 30 spots back with his next pick. Thought he should get Game Over's 42nd overall pick. But this trade isn't grossly unfair so its all good.

Seriously though, IMO trade vetoes are for leagues where you don't know everyone. I trust every person in this league to try to do what's best for their team, which is all you can ask. It's their business how they go about doing that, IMO.

You're right. But, I honestly have a question about these trade veto aspect in a keeper's league. Maybe, someone can help me understand...
If there is no deadline, or a deadline as close as just 2 weeks before the start of playoffs - there can be some faulty trades. The teams that are not going to make the playoffs can dump 2-3 very good players for 1 keeper next year. Of course, it makes sense for both of the managers, but we have 12 starters, depth is huge in the playoffs, and I don't think that's fair to the other playoff teams.
I trust everyone in the league as well, and I do believe all are pretty good fantasy players. I know they will do what's best for their team, but since this is a keeper league - there may be trade near the deadline which may look very unfair to other playoffs managers.
What to do in those situations?
There is a reason NFL trade deadline is in week 6 - to avoid this type of situation.

I have a similar draft strategy, don't draft a QB till round 4-5. But, we got a good group of owners. I think Rodgers pick was great great pick. I think he will be a great fantasy QB for years to come.

I don't see anything inherently wrong with the situation you suggested.
That's the point of a Dynasty league.
If somebody is willing to sacrifice a long term keeper for a shot at a ring this season, then I think they should be allowed to do that.
What was the trade LA and Slick made last year? I forget who LA was trading for Caron Butler. Jamal Crawford for Caron Butler?? I still see nothing wrong with that trade, because at the time Butler, a valuable long term keeper was sucking, and Slick was willing to deal him to improve his championship odds.
Slick may or may not have won the championship with the player LA gave him, but he definitely would have been a huge disadvantage during this offseason when he lost a top 15-20 player like Caron Butler.
In any case, it only takes 4 people to veto any trade during the regular season.
What do other people think?

ah, crzy, the voice of reason. i agree with crzy, if someone wants to get rid of a keeper to compete for a ring...the other player will benefit as well, by getting their keeper.
