2) phiLthyphiL trades 23th pick, 71st pick, and 73rd pick to crzy for 33rd pick, 40th pick and 88th pick
Objections?
Phil is trading his 2nd, 6th, and 7th round picks for my 3rd, 4th, and 8th round picks
He is trading down 10 spots in the 2nd.
Trading up 31 spots from the 6th to the 4th
And trading down 15 spots from the 7th to the 8th.

So now do we have to wait an entire day to make sure more than 4 people don't veto?

I have a huge decision to make right here.
I traded up originally because of the run on quarterbacks which scared me a little. So i traded up for a specific QB and I'm sure you guys know who that is.
But now I really want the Panthers star WR.
Yeah, I know I'd have 3 straight WR. But I'd also have 3 guys who averaged 20 points per game last year. Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald, and the Panthers WR all averaged more points per game last year in this league format than Adrian Peterson did.
But I know I should draft for need too

Give me your number crzy....I'm at work from 930-630 today...this site isnt allowed at work...so someone's going to have to txt me when I'm up.
I'll take a list with me of who's left and who's available. If someone can fill me in with who's going to be taken from now until I pick, that'd be sweet. Txt only please. And if you could leave a note who it's from, I'll b sure to save it in my phone.

I'm sorry I took so long, but I had a difficult decision to make. My pick is....
I traded up originally to take Phillip Rivers, but then didn't
But then I really wanted Steve Smith, who is a monster. But Steve Smith's value is tied too closely to Jake Delhomme. I'm not risking my team's hopes on Jake Delhomme.
So finally I did the smart thing and took Portis, because the dropoff in running backs scared the s**t out of me. I didn't want to end up with Jamal Lewis as my #1 running back

Are there any concerns about the trade, because if not, we're moving on.

trade is fine! go ahead - please don't wait for 4 votes. Trade is more than fair.

This is hilarious. I just went through the exact thought process. First, I was sure I'm taking Rivers, then - I thought I'll take Steve Smith but Delhomme scares me. I just took the next best WR in Wayne.
Good pick.

I'm bummed about not picking again until 57, but according to nfl.com's PPR mock, I picked 3 of the top 15 players in this draft

Clinton Portis in top 15...I don't know about that. But, I think you have picked 3 of the top 25, and that's pretty good as well.

I don't see anything inherently wrong with the situation you suggested.
That's the point of a Dynasty league.
If somebody is willing to sacrifice a long term keeper for a shot at a ring this season, then I think they should be allowed to do that.
What was the trade LA and Slick made last year? I forget who LA was trading for Caron Butler. Jamal Crawford for Caron Butler?? I still see nothing wrong with that trade, because at the time Butler, a valuable long term keeper was sucking, and Slick was willing to deal him to improve his championship odds.
Slick may or may not have won the championship with the player LA gave him, but he definitely would have been a huge disadvantage during this offseason when he lost a top 15-20 player like Caron Butler.
In any case, it only takes 4 people to veto any trade during the regular season.
What do other people think?

No question the other player will benefit. I'm not saying that though. What I'm saying is, it may be unfair to other managers. There is a reason why all sports have a deadline half-way through the season or even before. NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL are also "dynasty" leagues, and the reason for earlier trade deadline is to avoid this situation. Obviously, they feel it shouldn't be allowed.
I honestly feel trading dead-line should be at a point of the season where everyone has a viable shot of making the playoffs, hence no one will trade away current season for the next one - and that I think is much better and fair.

I had Clinton Portis last year and while he gets some good numbers, the redzone carries always seem to go to Betts. And I read that they are going to use Betts more this year because they don't want to wear down Portis. And Portis gets so banged up and that scared me.
