1. I appologize for making everyone wait so long, i was home for like 30 mins, didnt think to check the computer, didnt think it would start yet, so im sorry.

and 2. When is the right time to draft individual defensive players? Ive never done a IDP draft before.

Here is something to help you guys.

With the scoring system of this league, here are the average points per week of the top 10 at every position.

Top 10 QB: 18.8 points per week
Top 10 RB: 19.2 points per week
Top 10 WR: 19.2 points per week

Top 10 TE: 11.3 points per week
Top 10 K: 8.5 points per week
Top 10 TeamDEF: 14.1 points per week
Top 10 LB: 10.4 points per week
Top 10 DB: 10.4 points per week
Top 10 DL: 7.8 points per week

This should help AB. I would say the same time some people snag the first team D's and kickers and such.....Rounds 8-20?

And this is my first IDP as well.

Dont sweat anything, our BBall league took a lot longer to get started.

No worries.

I didn't think it will start today either. You should probably start drafting defensive players when you feel you have your offensive starters set...
thanks guys, sounds good,

I've done a ton of IDP leagues and I'm never sure when the appropriate time to draft individual defensive players is.

I've seen Patrick Willis go in the 5th round. I've seen defensive players last until the 14th round.

It really depends on what everyone else does.

I have a draft strategy. But that strategy will change depending on what you guys do.

does that strategy include takking Willis with your 2nd rd pick, i know you crzy, i can see it now, Gore rd 1, Willis rd 2, etc....

j/k

Im actually looking at some defensive players early as well, likes of Bob Sanders, Ed Reed, Suggs, Peppers, Willis, Spikes, etc...

^ You forgot James Harrison. He should be the first or second defensive player taken.

He not only can put up 16 sacks and 100 tackles.

But he also forces turnovers.

And every forced fumble, fumble recovery or interception is worth 6 points (the equivalent of an offensive touchdown).

you be damn right buddy, i forgot Harrison is a pure beast, and that contract he got, im thinking Willis' camp will want comparable or better.
