So I was thinking about trading away some of my depth for Adrian Peterson.
I was thinking about trading Ryan Grant and Cedric Benson, and maybe throwing in miles austin to sweeten the deal. Is that giving up too much? I have to start 2 RBs and I have MJD starting already. These are the positions in our league: 1QB, 2RB, 1RB/WR, 2WR, and 1WR/TE.
Keep in mind that this is the Number one guy in our league. 2 losses for him (one from me last night) and 3 for me. I'm tired for 3rd currently.
My Roster:
QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Cedric Benson, Maurice Jones Drew, Ryan Grant, Knowshon Moreno
WR: Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Ochocinco, Miles Austin, Michael Crabtree, Hakeem Nicks
TE: Vernon Davis, Jeremy Shockey
His Team:
QB: McNabb, Rothlisburger
RB: Adrian Peterson, Kevin Smith, Tim Hightower, Clinton Portis, Fred Jackson
WR Derrick Mason, Steve Smith, Dwayne Bowe, Donnie Avery, Sidney Rice
TE Dallas Clark, Ind TE
Let me know if you have any suggestions of who I should trade

How often do you use Miles Austin and Ryan Grant?

Miles Austin rides the pine with Vernon Davis. Grant just got back into the starting lineup this week (at Vernon's expense). Austin has just come in one game when Ocho, Welker, Moss had byes.

There is a reason this guy is #1.....it might have something to do with the fact that he has AP.
You would have to include at least MJD. AT LEAST. The thing about a trade is that BOTH teams have to come away thinking their team is better. PLUS you are the one initiating the trade which implies that you are going to have to give up more in value than he. You act as though this trade is even possible. Its only possible if you make your teams significantly weaker in a lot of other areas.

I know he's number one because of Adrian Peterson (and cause he hasn't had to face me twice like some unfortunate souls will) but his WR's look like crap and his RB depth isn't very good. But I know what you mean....it is a hard trade to put together and also to pull the trigger on.

If I were you I would try and trade for a solid, consistent back like a Marion Barber or Ray Rice and give up way less. I pulled off a trade for ray rice and it has worked wonders. I only gave up ochocinco I think (this was before rice started heating up).

You would really be helping him out but yeah I would do it. Throw in the WR but ask for another one of his RB for depth. Just in case AP or MJD gets hurt.
