SBs and Runs are stats as well. And they do have some type of importance in H2H leagues. Dont discount them. Although I have never been in a league with soooo many stats, it may not matter....but relax you are one of the favorites.

This isnt your normal H2H format as well. It is set up more like Roto, with all theses stat categoriers. Total Bases just doesent rely on power...its gonna rely on speed to.

I didnt say I was upset with your rating and quite honestly ratings are fun to see but dont mean anything. I am not sure if my team is great or medicore to tell you the truth. I know its not the worst but beyond that who knows. I would put my teams with B or C ratings. Hard to see any clear favorite.

Of course runs and bags are stats and count. They just dont have the importance that they do in roto. IN roto, SB's have equal weight with homeruns. In H2H SB's are 1 point I believe and there are minus points for caught stealing. Thus, players like Crawford, Ellsbury, Figgins, Bourne, etc... just just dont matter as much in my opinion. Still good players but just dont have as much impact.

Think of it this way.. if a hitter goes 1-4 with a solo homerun its 6 points. ( if no ks). A singles hitter with speed could go 3-4 with a SB and run scored and only tie with 6 points. That is why I like power in this format more than speed.

The player going 1-4 would get 3 points, HR, Run, and RBI. Know? We arent playing total bases. point for a single, point for a double, point for a triple, point for a HR. In youre same senario, that singles hitter with speed going 3-4 with a SB and Run....would actually get 5 points (3 for the 3 singles and a point each for SB and Run). And the fast players can turn those singles to doubles and triples, just as well as the power guy getting a double.

So that being said, SB's and Runs do matter more than you think.

If a homerun counts the same as a single then I am out of this league. There isnt a fantasy league alive ( nor real life either) that would measure a single as valuable as a homerun. Hell.. if thats the case then Ichiro should be the first player picked. LOL

What? Really? Now I'm confused

I thought this wasn't a points league.

I thought it was category by category.

That is NOT what I was told. Last year we did a H2H league where we did categorys. We specifically talked about have a regular H2H points league this year.
That was my impression anyway.

1 single is worth the same as 1 home run in this league.

No chance. Seriously, no fantasy league is going to count a single as much as a Homer. That is just stupid.

No offense....your fuked!!!!!!!!!!

Kidding, you still have a good team dude, you just have no speed!!!!!!! Thats why I didnt like all these extra category's other than the normal ones....but, it is what it is, and I took the scoring into how I drafted.

Jermaine Dye for Fat Albert?
Here is what I think happened. James may have set up the scoring incorrectly. He wanted to have all the categories count and set points up for each but somehow did not put point totals. James.. sorry if that is wrong but only thing I can imagine.

When you go back and look at the conversations in this thread we absolutley talked about a H2H points scoring league.

Think about how stupid and insane this is set up now. WIth this.. caught stealings are a separate category and as important as wins for a pitcher or homeruns for a batter. Hit by pitchers has equal weight as strikouts for a pitcher.

Not trying to act like a little baby here but that is just f**king retarded. I have done fantasy baseball for years and there has never been a league set up so stupidly. If you do categories then there are just 10 categories to use:

Pitching
Wins
K's
ERA
Whip
Saves

Hitting
AVG
Homers
Runs
RBI
Steals

I agree with this 100%, but still dude, if you want out consider my trade offer, I'll throw in Uribe if you want

If the scoring stands the way it is I will make that deal. Got to take care of my rabbit buddy!
unfortunatley, it is what it is now, and we have to play like this, james cant change the scoring now that we have drafted. This is why I hate all extra categories....BUT, its gonna makes things a whole lot more interesting., for all the wrong reasons

I will just sell off my team. Not to b***h slap James here but I have never seen anything so poorly organized from the start times to the scoring set up. It seriously should not have been that difficult.

As for quitting.. seriously I am not going to continue in a league where HBP counts as much as homeruns. Sorry. Obviously its more about the principle of the thing as there isnt a penny involved.
erase the league, start s**t over, let's meet next weekend for a new draft
