"Winter Meetings" are underway so to say with the team in my post above. Need some advice from my fellow WZers. First off, here is how our league works. It is a point system. You get 10 points. You can keep as many players as possible, but that player takes up that rounds pick. 22 rounds. Rounds 1-3 are 6pts. Rounds 4-9 are 3pts. Everybody else drafted after or a FA are 1pt. This is a big $$$ league, so I'd appreciate any help.
Here was my final roster from last season. As you can tell, I built around pitching. Finished 3rd place due to pitchers missing starts and it killed me. Not to mention Ryan Braun. Ugh.

Leaving me with 4 to spend. I'm trying to get either a 5th or 7th in a deal to either keep SP Davish or 2B Kipnis.
But as of now, I do not have a 3rd or 5th round pick. Also, players are only able to be kept for 1 year...so I couldn't keep Fernandez and Machado that cheap forever. I love this kind of league because it makes you weigh the value of how many points each player would cost vs. the round they were drafted in. For example..who is more valuable between Matt Moore and Adam Wainwright? Both are worth 3pts, but Moore would only take up my 8th rounder compared to Wainwright taking my 4th.
