I for one feels Ray Rice will be the #1 RB this year. I wouldn't hessitate to choose him. In a perfect world I'd be able to trade down to #3 and get him. Not all leagues allow that so I wouldn't bat an eye if I had the #1 pick.

Compare those other 2000 yd backs to CJ and you notice that none of them have a 4.24 40 yard dash.
If you dont take CJ with the first pick you are nuts
2009 season
In week 2, Johnson became the first player in NFL history to record touchdowns of 50+, 60+, and 90+ in the same game which included a 91 yard touchdown run which matched the franchise's longest run set by Sid Blanks. He finished the day with 197 yards rushing and 87 yards receiving. Through the first 16 games of the 2009 NFL season, Johnson led the league with 2,006 yards and 5.8 yards per carry, including a game against the Jaguars in which he had 228 yards, helping the Titans achieve their first victory of the season. By midseason, Sports Illustrated's Kerry J. Byrne argued that Johnson was currently the best running back in the NFL, ahead of Adrian Peterson.[12]
In weeks 6 through 12, Johnson had an active streak of six games over 125 yards, which tied the NFL record shared by Earl Campbell and Eric Dickerson. Johnson also set the single month record for rushing, with 800 yards in November 2009, which broke the previous record set by Ricky Williams who ran for 797 yards in November 2002.[13] Also in the 2009 season, Johnson had 3 touchdown runs of 85+ yards, a feat no other player has achieved in a career.[citation needed] On December 29, 2009, Johnson was selected to the 2010 Pro Bowl, his second in as many years.
On January 3, 2010, Johnson became just the 6th running back in NFL history to reach the 2,000 yard mark. Against the Seattle Seahawks, he rushed for 134 yards, which also broke Earl Campbell's franchise rushing record. He gained 154 yards from scrimmage in the game bringing his total to 2,509 for the season breaking Marshall Faulk's previous record of 2,429 yards.[1] For his efforts, Johnson was awarded the NFL Offensive Player of the Year, but failed to garner a single vote as NFL MVP for the 2009 season.[14] Another award Johnson won in the 2009 season was the FedEx Ground Player of the Year.[citation needed]
Fresh off his record-breaking season, Chris Johnson earned a special celebration in Madden 11 known as the "Chopper City Juke

I had the same train of thought about going with AP because of overall consitency, and the odds that Johnsons puts up those numbers again are not good....but then I actually got the First Pick in my Draft, and just had to go with Johnson. I feel Johnson has a lot more upside than Peterson, and I do expect his numbers to drop, but I feel Johnson is still good for 300 FP's.
