Sup everyone, I currently have my ESPN league set with 12 teams in 2 divisions, top 6 teams move to the playoffs.
However, someone I know for sure will be an active member wants a spot, and the only way to get him one would be to move the league to 14 teams.
Is that too big of a change?
The setup this morning was
QB
RB
RB
RB
RB/WR
WR
WR
WR/TE
TE
K
DEF
BN
BN
BN
BN
BN
BN
BN
However this morning before my buddy even asked to get in I took out one of the RB slots. If he joins I'm thinking about taking out the WR/TE slot too.
Thoughts?

I had a 14 team league and the depth was so unbelievably bad... It sucks man. Like, people were scraping for players off of waivers week to week.

It's like another 20+ players gone. And 10+ elite players. It spreads the player market SOOOO thin. It seriously sucks because you have to gamble on your lower tier starters week in and week out.

Here is what my 14 team league looks like....there are a few good players on waivers, my suggestion is to cut down the positions and have 1 qb;2 rb;2 wr; 1 te; 1 flex
anyway I picked 11th out of 14...
1. (11) Ryan Mathews RB
2. (18) Calvin Johnson WR
3. (39) Anquan Boldin WR
4. (46) Jermichael Finley TE
5. (67) Knowshon Moreno RB
6. (74) Jay Cutler QB
7. (95) Pittsburgh DEF
8. (102) Michael Bush RB
9. (123) Jacoby Jones WR
10. (130) Carnell Williams RB
11. (151) Vince Young QB
12. (158) Mike Williams WR
13. (179) Matt Prater K
14. (186) Jabar Gaffney WR
15. (207) Tony Scheffler TE
anyway I picked 11th out of 14...

But in a 12-man team, your picks from 9-15 are SO much better than the players you have. Not dogging your team, but I'm just saying from the standpoint of 12 person league.

That looks doable to me. The slots you had in the first post were more than what we have in my 12 person league. I would think someone would wind up starting the water boy under those conditions.
I think it also depends on how much your league knows about FF and football in general. I have always felt that 10 person leagues are good for the work place and with casual fans, 12 = good for the average fan. 14 = you should have some really good football and FF knowledge. If your guys aren't really knowledgable I'd either stick to 12 people or keep the number of players you carry down.

and i always had fun playing in a 22 team league. right now i am in a money league where we are stuck. we have 11 owners and want a 12 team league, and do not want a 10 team league.
