I am a comish in a league and the players think this trade is too lopsided. For the guy getting MJD any thoughts?

I think its lopsided. D Mason is gonna lose some touches with Boldin and Tj coming in and isnt Brown coming of an injury

Seems fair to me, MJD has injury "gossip", a healthy Ronnie Brown is solid and maybe the guy needs a receiver.

Seems fair. Brown will be a top 10 back unless he gets injured. Mason is Flaccos favorite target and still is their #1 WR.

I wouldn't do that trade if I was getting Brown and Mason myself but I wouldn't veto the trade. I usually only veto trades if it looks like collusion of sorts. This deal i could understand if the guy is high on Ronnie Brown and really needs help at WR.
Of course I believe he could get more for MJD but it's not a horrible trade. I've seen much worse.

I agree with Boise.
If I were the guy trading MJD I'd ask for more - Mason is washed up and Ronnie Brown is definitely NOT a top 10 back (as someone else suggested).
But at the same time, I wouldn't veto it. It doesn't seem completely unreasonable, especially if the guy recieving Mason is desperate for a reciever.

Mason washed up since when? You do know he broke 1000 yds with 7 TDs last year. He was the most targeted and reliable reciever for Flacco once again in pre-season. You seem kinda hateful on a guy who puts up alot yards and receptions for a run 1st offense. Masons durable and reliable while hes lost a step he still always gets open, TDs, rec ,yds and hes Flaccos go to guy.
Ronnie Brown was a top 3 back in points for FF before he got injured. If he stays healthy hes gonna produce a easy 230 points. Mason himself has been 145 to 160 points per season for years. They added Boldin so hes less likely to doubled and its more likely hes gets more points than less. He is still their #1 wr in a high powered offense. Id jump all over that trade if my WRs were iffy and i could get Brown n Mason for MJD. Id bet those 2 get more points than MJD this year with how Jville looks. In fact I got 20 on it says they do. Lets make a bet dude

First of all, Ronnie Brown has never stayed healthy (with the exception of 2008) and hence disappoints year after year because he never realizes his full fantasy potential by not playing through a full season. So my statement that he isn't a top 10 back is perfectly legit.
In case you want proof, check out his stat lines for the last 5 years. He often starts the season as a top fantasy back but NEVER (and I'm not exaggerating I do mean never) ever pans out.
Here are his rushing totals for his first 5 seasons:
2005 - 907 and 4 TDs
2006 - 1008 and 5 TDs
52007 - 602 and 4 TDs
2008 - 916 and 10 TDs
2009 - 648 and 8 TDs
Does that look like top 10 back production to you?
Don't bother adding his recieving totals in there- they don't account for nearly enough to make a difference.
Second, the Ravens added Boldin and Housh now which will eventually drop Mason downthe pecking order especially considering his age. Their offense has been steadily shifting from run-first to balanced with the emergence of Flacco and I guarantee you Rice will get plenty of looks out of the backfield and Heap will probably fair pretty well too. Mason is, at best, the #3 recieving option and with plenty of youth and more talented guys at the skill positions he'll slowly drop off the map.
So if you wanna bet then lets make it legit and equitable - MJD and the next best recieving option that replaces Mason (because that's who the guy getting MJD will start in his place) vs Mason and Brown and I guarantee you the guy with MJD and the other reciever comes out ahead.

It's certainly lopsided at this point but I wouldn't veto the trade unless there is collusion. Everyone tries to get a lopsided deal, tell the other league mngrs to check the proposals they've made as proof of that. They're just kicking themselves because they didn't get the deal.

My voice of reason...I think MJD is top 3 RB, and Ronnie and Mason are HUGE ?'s.

It's a pretty bad trade. I would veto it if you think there is any chance the MJD player is taking advantage of the R. Brown/Mason player.
If they are both players who should have equal knowledge and experience, and one guy just is high on Brown and/or not high on MJD, then let it go through.
But it sounds like a newb is getting hosed, and your league will be stronger if you don't allow one sided trades like that to happen.
