Harrison and Hillis for Mark Clayton

thoughts on the trade?

I want to dump Hillis and Harrison because the time share is killing me and I can only play one. My other backs are Rice and Mccoy and I have them handcuffed with Mcgahee and Bell.

My wrs will now be Colston, Garcon, Clayton and Vincent Jackson if he gets traded.

Garcon would go to the bench and Clayton would be my flex with V.Jackson and Colston starting wrs.

No way. The Browns RB's have way more value than some scrub Ram receiver.

Scrub wr? With a rookie qb clayton has 12 catches 2 tds and 143 yds recieving while averaging 21.2 points through 2 weeks. I think you need to wake up and pay attention to what Clayton is doing. I surely wouldnt call him a scrub.

The problem is Hillis and Harrison share to much of the work. And both have accounted for 3 fumbles in 2 weeks. Neither is the GUY so I dont see them having to many big games sharing the work load. The last 2 weeks I started Harrison and he did s**t for me. Not only that but look at this schedule for the browns....

Looks pretty brutal to me... Now look at the playoff matchups.... even worse.........

Eventually either Hillis or Harrison will emerge, I would wait it out.

And I don't think very much of Mark Clayton, regardless of what he's done this season.

I think you are wrong about that, these are the days of the 2 headed rb attack unless you have a premium RB. And I wouldnt call Hillis or Harrison that. Plus did you see how the browns handled their RB situation last year with Jamal Lewis? I`m not holding my breath this year. For some reason the Browns have Harrison in the dog house and I dont know why! Why else did they draft Montario Hardesty?

The trade was just accepted so its a moot point now. But with a rookie qb and Bradford putting it up 55 times in a game I like Clayton alot. He is only going to get better as the year progresses and he is already playing great.

Thanks for the input and if anyone has any other comments, bad or good I`d like to hear them, thanks.

This. You are crazy to put that much faith in Clayton after two weeks.

Why? Harrison and Hillis have a combined 6 years in the NFL and have combined for only 5 100+ yd rushing games. I smell trouble in the Cle backfield and Im getting out early while I still can. I think many over value Hillis and Harrison. Only time will tell but I like Claytons upside in ppr leagues. Bradford is a rook and he will look to Clayton a ton as already shown. As the year goes on I ecpect them to hook up even more.

Clayton is the 8th most targeted WR so far this year. 12th in catches.
I definitely wouldn't have done this trade. Mainly because I think you probably could've gotten more than WW fodder like Mark Clayton. I understand your concerns about the Browns backfield situation but Clayton hasn't been a model of consistency himself. He's shown flashes since his early Baltimore days but has never been able to put it all together. IMO you just fell victim to a guy that was just selling extremely high on Clayton.

With that said though, hope the trade works out for you.

Wait, is this a PPR league? If that's the case than I like the trade more than I did. I don't like him in a standard league because I'm not sure if he'll be consistent with yardage and TD's. He does present value in receptions league though because obviously he's the unquestioned #1 target in the passing game.

Still, I don't think you had to give up both Harrison and Hillis to get him. Keeping at least one of them would have at least given you depth at RB. However, I do like this trade more if it is a PPR league.
If you didn't want advice why did you ask?
But for Mark Clayton? I'm not buying him at this point.
