This is a no brainer. Don't be a homer, play the best player (Charles) against the Niners. Everyone else you have is either a backup, a time share or well past their prime.
Sure,it's possible that Portis looks good again against a bad opponent, but he's an iffy level starter any week. And even with a timeshare, Charles is one of the most dynamic backs in the league, he's a top 3-4 round draft pick and rightfully so.
Don't give our D too much credit, we won't pitch a shutout, and if we don't, most likely Charles scores and picks up at least 75+ yards, plus some yardage on catches.

I don't know, I'm sitting Charles this week. Partly, it's because I'm a homer and I hate starting guys against the 9ers. But also, the 9ers are really good against the run. And the Chiefs don't give Charles enough carries.
I think I'd go Portis. But also, that GB v CHI game could be a HUGE shoot out. And Hester could get some big points.
