Cargo has such s**tty plate discipline and insanely high BaBip (.384)
He swings at 37.0% of the stuff outside the zone, which is not quite Pablo Sandoval, but is close.
His HR/FB rate of 20.4% is obviously a product of Coors Fields, but still is so high that it will be a statistical anomaly if he sustains it.
I expect him to regress and so do most online projections. Probably down from .330 to .300 and down to 25-30 homers instead of 34.
Those are still really good numbers though lol, especially if he steals the same number of bases. But they're not Triple Crown numbers

I disagree. I expect him to have an even better year then last.

Based on? Gut feeling?
All the peripheral stats point to regression. Of course those aren't right all the time but still

OK sorry for the delay here guys.
I was really torn here. Gotta go with the Reigning MVP of the NL 1B Joey Votto. Only 27, and the sky is still the limit hitting in a hitter friendly park, and surrounded with good hitters as well.
Barring injury, I think he can better his numbers there. Thats scary.

I was debating between him and Roy assuming Cargo wouldn't fall to me, good pick

Good pick Don. There is a player that I strongly considered still available. I may be interested in trading up to get him if he there in the 2nd round, doubt it though.

I think Votto sold himself short by agreeing to a 3 year, $38M deal. He's worth way more than that.

He will replace a certain 1B in the Bronx when that deal runs out. That is a BARGAIN.

Don, you might as well name the player.
