And frankly 26 home runs is a conservative projection for Youk, who I think has around 30 home run power.

98 RBI is also very conservative, considering he will be batting behind Gonzalez and Crawford

Youk will dominate in the 5-hole for the Red Sox. I think Crawford, Gonzalez, Youk bat 3-4-5 in Boston,.

In a category league, Youk's lack of speed makes him a liability.

In this league format, Youk is a beast, particularly with 3rd base eligibility, because this league rewards power and rewards OBP.

It rewards speed too, actually, if you have Crawford or Hanley, but it's not essential to have speed.

You're wrong about that.

There aren't many .400 OBP guys with potential for 26 HR/100 RBI/ 40 doubles left.

Not to mention, he plays a premium corner infield position.

Sure there are power hitters left who can hit 26 HR, but they don't have the OBP, and they strike out too much.


Youk gives me 500-520 points at 3rd base, should finish as a top 3 third baseman.

Excellent pick Crzy. If he had dropped couple more picks, I would have traded up to get him. By the way, I don't see he has a 3B eligibility. If he did, I doubt he gets past 2nd round.
