Just finished a grueling 16 teamer. $100 a team. $500 for the regular season winner. $700 for the CHAMP. And leftovers for 2nd and 3rd. I felt confident going in, not so much coming out.
Start QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, WR/TE/RB, TE, K , DEF.
Had the 9th pick in a snake draft. This is how my picks went:
Philthy Phil
1. (9) Andre Johnson (Hou - WR)
2. (24) Steven Jackson (StL - RB)
3. (41) Dwayne Bowe (KC - WR)
4. (56) Jason Witten (Dal - TE)
5. (73) Matt Schaub (Hou - QB)
6. (88) Jonathan Stewart (Car - RB)
7. (105) Michael Crabtree (SF - WR)
8. (120) Davone Bess (Mia - WR)
9. (137) Baltimore (Bal - DEF)
10. (152) Steve Smith (Phi - WR)
11. (169) Ronnie Brown (Phi - RB)
12. (184) Jason Snelling (Atl - RB)
13. (201) Jermaine Gresham (Cin - TE)
14. (216) David Garrard (Jac - QB)
15. (233) Derrick Mason (NYJ - WR)
16. (248) Jason Hanson (Det - K)
It got really tough after Baltimore. I thought I fked up personally when DeAngelo Williams was still on the board, but I opted for Dwayne Bowe instead. Looking back on it now, I'm rail thin at RB and probably should package Bowe with a lesser RB for a better RB2 than Jonathan Stewart. Thoughts? Suggestions? Don't think I'll ever do a 16 team draft again. Thing took almost 4 hours.

eh! hard to judge really. Doesn't look bad for a 16 teamer. But for my money I definitely would have went RB instead of Balt D. Then maybe D in Snelling's spot.

That was definitely my dilemma, at the time I think there were really mediocre RB's left, so I opted for one of the better D's instead.
Yahoo's Fantasy site is down right now...I'll post some of what I think are the better teams and it'll probably give better perspective on how I fared.

I think for a 16 team league you did quite well for yourself. Like you said though, you are thin at RB, but if you keep your eyes open on the waiver wire and trade market, you could help that situation out.
I like the look of your team.

16 teamer is brutal. But you were right to emphasize WR. You should have targeted more late round RB's though. Keep on eye on guys like Montario Hardesty, Bernard Scott in a league this deep.

you should have went rb 2 before te1 i think that was your biggest mistake. if you take a rb at 4 and a te at 6 i think youd be a lot happier. but its no to bad.

Not necessarily in a PPR league. Witten is basically another stud WR.

Both those guys got drafted, I think in the 14th round or so (of 16 rounds)

You should have targeted them in the draft. You need guys who are an injury away from being solid starting options.

Yea, I'm hoping I get lucky SOMEHOW on the wire. Ronnie Brown and Jason Snelling are my only chances at hitting paydirt. Harrison would've been ideal considering Best's rookie year. Sent you a trade offer in this league, your thoughts??
Some other hail mary options still available:
LaRod Stephens Howling (return yards)
Derrick Ward
JaVon Ringer (if CJ doesn't get his money, isn't Ringer #2?!!)
LeRon McClain
Chester Taylor
Steven Ridley/Shane Vereen
Mewelde Moore
Should I make way for any of these cats?

I think you did well dude! 16 teams suck. They get boring after a while. It's hard to stay focused for that long.
