With the unique keeper system in place in this league, I hope people have an understanding how trading future picks in this draft will affect their keeper situation.

For instance, if someone decides to trade away their 1st round pick, then they will not be able to keep the Player that would have had 1st round keeper value.

Meaning if I traded away my first round pick. I couldn't make that trade AND simultaneously keep Carlos Gonzalez. That would make zero sense. Since trading away the pick implies that I no longer can use the pick to keep Carlos Gonzalez as well.

Trading away picks limits the players you can potentially keep.

As you can see, trading future picks creates a whole bunch of problems which aren't entirely resolved because of the weird system we have in place.

I think Boise raped 4ML in that trade. Not enough to veto by any means but he Boise did VERY well.

Really? Vogelsong is way better than Jackson. Jensen is a stud RP and Cordero is a total piece of crap. I just dont see that Avila is worth that. Maybe I'm wrong but love it for Boise.

Yep, losing an early round pick could come back to haunt me if this doesn't propel me into the playoffs.

yeah I don't get how 4ML is trying to play this off as having no chance

4ML's trade seems fine with me. Very good trade him going forward in the future.

Obviously better for Boise for the stretch run.

yeah why is 4ML building for the future when he has an edge towards a playoff spot right now? doesn't make sense, this is only a win for him if he still makes the playoffs IMO, bad move otherwise
