but it made my team better. wouldnt you agree?

C AJ Pierzynski
1B Miguel Cabrera
2B Weeks/Weeks
3B Jose Bautista
SS Elvis Andrus
LF Josh Willingham
CF Melky Cabrera
RF Justin Upton
Util Yoenis Cespedes
Util Josh Redddick

Basically downgraded from Stanton to Reddick, received Bautista which is a huge huge upgrade over Murphy.
I've given up on Lincecum, I know the potential is there but he's shown nothing to prove that he will be back to form. Latos sadly is an upgrade over him and there is still some upside with him.
Reddick will probably be a keeper and all I'll have to give up is a 23rd round pick for him

Fowler was nothing, he was my 3rd CF with Melky and Cespedes on my team.
The 4th round pick was probably too high but I can live with it.

I did not want trade Stanton
But this makes my team better

Instead of David Murphy at 3B (by far the weakest spot in my offense) ill have now have Bautista

My OF still consists of Melky Cabrera, Justin Upton, Yoenis Cespedes, Josh willingham and now Josh Reddick
And we swap Latos and Lincecum, he picks up a 4th rounder

Thoughts?

4ML wins

Stanton > Bautista - slightly, but Stanton is also younger. This a keeper league.
Timmy > Latos - even while slumping, he has much bigger potential. He also pitches a pitcher's park while Latos is in a hitter's park.
Reddick > Fowler - but this is barely exciting.

Then explain to me how on top of that YOU give up a 4th round pick? Lulz

won't veto it though

This. If it was a Non Keeper league I would think it was pretty fair. However, in a keeper league I dont understand how you would trade Stanton and also give up a 4th. I love it for 4ML.
Definitely a nice deal for 4ML IMO. I like Bautista, but in a keeper league, getting Stanton is a no-brainer for 4ML. While Timmy is not pitching like himself, he still has a ton more upside than Latos. Getting a 4th round pick is just a cherry on top for 4ML.

I'm actually surprised you took that deal over mine Mod. I cringed when I pushed the "send offer" button to you. While I didn't offer you an elite talent like Bautista, I didn't ask for someone like Stanton in return either. I really wanted to add some Giants on my roster (Melky and Timmy), but I'm not going to lose sleep over not being able to make a deal.

I offered him a low ball offer of Colby Lewis for Timmy
Bautista is only 31 and is on pace to hit 45 HRs again - that's 3 years he has proven. Look at the stats for the 30 days - he is probably the top 3 hitter in the league. You guys have completely forgotten Reddick in this trade. He had an excellent 2nd half last year and is putting up pretty decent numbers this season, and is only getting better with more time on the field.

I actually think I'll get raped in this trade if Lince doesn't pitch at a high level for the rest of the season - and there is a pretty good chance of that - which is why the trade for 4th round pick. Plus, Latos starts slow, and finishes strong. He did that last season, and he will likely do it again.

Stanton and Bautista are even for the next 4-5 years. In fact, Bautista is outscoring him as of today.

It's a fair trade if Lince pitches well. If he doesn't, my season is over. 4th round pick next year is great, but I lose a season.

I'm glad you feel that way, good luck getting anyone to agree with you.

Oh poor you, you are gambling on Lincecum so let's compensate you by giving you a 4th rounder

That's not how the trade is set up.

Reddick + Latos is for Lince + 4th

Bautista with 3B eligibility got traded for Stanton (I had extra 3B and Mod needed a 3B badly)

Fowler was a filler, and won't stay on my team for too long

ImaMod got destroyed in that trade. If you know you can't compete this season, you should building for the future, and you traded away young assets for Jose Baustia. Not to mention trading away draft picks. You don't trade away draft picks when you're in last place. Moreover, If you decide to keep Miggy, Upton, and Bautista...you might not have a pick until the 5th round next year. You would have been better off not making any trades here.

It's pretty safe to say that Upton won't be his keeper. Reddick could be the keeper if he replicates 1st stats in the 2nd half and Gio Gonzalez along with Bautista and Miggy - if someone asks me.

But, if you guys want to veto the trade, I'm fine with it. It's not that big of a deal. I love Bautista.

He could be very good for 2014. No doubt a great prospect but he has some control issues in the minors which is a bit of a concern. It this league is still going in 2 years and you keep him that entire time it could be a nice move.

He was absolutely un-hittable at UCLA. He will be in The Show soon.

Bro, you're one game out of first place in our division...picking up players who won't play till August/September is a bad move imo. But hey, I have no problem with it.

Had I said nothing about him, half of you wouldnt even know who he is....whatever

lol...when I posted that comment - he was projected to be a sept. call up. I picked him after the report came out that he will be called up soon.

oh and he was on my watch list from day 1. You can have him again if he doesn't get promoted very soon.

I wanted him in the WZ league much more than in this league. I will keep him stashed there.

Yea, he will be a FA in this league if he doesn't get promoted soon. I'm already losing my patience with this process and he didn't have such a good game today in the minor league. I'm gonna wait out one more start - two tops.
