There's no way that's the case. This has to be a new change. I've always discounted ST and defensive TDs when following games on Sunday's if I had a defense on the field for my fantasy team. I'm too young to be going this senile.

You are wrong. Sorry. Just like you get points when your Def/ST scores a TD you get dinged when your ST gives up points. Nothing has changed.

LMAO at GO not knowing how Defenses always get f**ked over like that. Pick 6's count against them too IIRC (if Eli had thrown one for example)

Yep. Pick 6's are dumb to count against because it obviously has nothing to do with Defense or Special Teams. But those points have always counted against as well. GO exhibiting early stage Alzheimers.

I figure it'll be a stat correction that Yahoo has by end of week. Either that, or they just changed it this season and haven't updated their knowledge base articles.

You're D/ST wasn't even on the field and yet they just lost points? How is that possible?ESPN uses the NFL's scoring model for D/ST fantasy scoring so we're sorry but yes, it's common fantasy procedure that any points scored against your D/ST team (whether or not the defense actually gave up the points) will negatively affect their fantasy score. For instance, let's say you own the Colts D/ST and Andrew Luck gets intercepted to the house by the Seahawks D. Those six points will indeed negatively affect the Colts' D/ST score.

Ah, I misread your original quote. I thought you said both D TDs and ST TDs would count against fantasy defenses; not just ST TDs. That's why this part of my link:

"Points scored in the following stat categories are not counted in the Points Allowed category:

Interception returns for touchdowns
Fumble returns for touchdowns
Blocked field goals returned for touchdowns
Safeties"
