I care, I just don't think I should set the rules, as a noob.

Pretty simple here since we decided its not going to be Head 2 Head but instead will be a season long roto. 3 possible formats:

1) Standard 5by 5 roto league
  • homers
  • avg
  • rbi
  • runs
  • sb
  • wins
  • era
  • ks
  • saves
  • whip

2) Substitute a category ( still using a 5x5)
  • such as quality starts instead of wins
  • on base percentage instead of batting average

3) Add categories and make it 6X6 league ( not really a fan though)
  • categores that can be added include slugging average and quality starts

4) Pts League using the #s set in Crazys league or go by standard pts formats

So.. basically its not that complicated. Just need to pick which one.

He's saying you pick it. I'd say replace wins with QS and thats it. Keep it simple. You pick the points system.

If we use crzys then it needs to be modded slightly to favor pitchers a bit less.
john tell me again why cats is better than points for roto?
The reason I ask is because if this fell through I was going to try a league with my friends around my area. However, we wouldn't have enough for a 12 or even 10 man league. So, I was thinking..........

If I can get 4 of my friends and 5 WZer's we could have a 10 man league. The webzone division and the VA division!!! What u guys think?

do not set the rules, I'm sort of with john on this one but I've been having a lot going on in life (nothing bad, just busy) so haven't had a chance to get on this

+1

I dont know if better is the right word but it does make it a bit easier to come back I think if you get off to a slow start and allows someone to use strategy as to what categories they are weak in and what they need to focus on. I think a little more strategy.

I really dont care though. I would either just go with Crazys format in points or go 5x5 category.

having never played roto I might need a little more breakdown on that.

James feel free to chime in too and also anyone else with experience on roto.

Doesn't sound like it will be, but I'm curious as to why that would be an issue for you?
