Wil Myers isn't worth a 9th round pick. He hasn't been kept before.

Did you not understand how the keepers worked?

Yadier Molina would have been worth a 5th round pick.

It only escalates for players that you are keeping for multiple years.

IT's necessary man. Imagine if redrose could keep Mike Trout with a 13th round pick every single year. That wouldn't be fair.
