Hyde for the #1 overall pick??

I'm in a PPR keeper league with Gore and Demarco Murray as my two starting RB'S...I have the #1 pick and I'm either gonna draft ezekial elliot or trade for hyde.

What would the zone do??

The zone would pick Hyde #1 and not win money at the end of the year.
go WR man. WRs are way more valuable in PPR leagues.

Gore is a match up player. You cant start him every game. You got to play the matchups. Murray should be a solid RB2.

The only problem i have is that Henry will probably poach his TDs

I think Hyde is a solid 2nd round pick. Everyone is expecting us to suck so if you have non-49er opponents in your league. You can probably swoop him up at the end of the 2nd. Could pay serious dividends. he has no competition behind him. He is the biggest back to do goal line work and he will get a ton of yards on the read option if Kap starts
I can't draft hyde, he is on someone else is roster, if I want him I would have to trade for him.
Dallas didnt draft Elliot 4th to not give him the ball a lot. I would just draft him especially given that it is a keeper league. Pass on Hyde.

Antonio Brown?
You can trade for Hyde, but don't give up the first pick. Use that on Elliot.

Antonio Brown isnt available Im sure. Who in their right minds would trade him right now in a PPR league.

I totally agree about WR. The top WR's are money especially in PPR.

Lately I've noticed that I can pick up quality backups after some of the top RB's get hurt and their production is almost the same. DeAngelo Williams kept me afloat after Hyde got hurt last year and CJ Anderson saved me the year before. Backup WR's never perform like the #1 WR.

Guys like Doug Martin and Eddie Lacy are available at the end of the 2nd round of new drafts (on ESPN at least). There's no way I'm touching Hyde in the first 3 rounds unless it's a 12 team draft and then I'm only taking him if I'm picking at the end of the 3rd round.

Our offense just is not very good and I can't trust Hyde to stay healthy. We still have one of the worst offensive lines in the league. We don't have good receivers or QB's. Even though we brought in Chip Kelly, I'm not expecting us to score more than 18-19 points per game which would rank near the bottom of the league. Hyde is the man when he's healthy, but there's too much risk and not enough scoring upside for a 2nd round pick when you compare Hyde with guys like Martin and Lacy who are more durable and will get more opportunities in the redzone.

I hope the OP was not suggesting he'd trade the #1 pick straight up for Hyde. Elliott is a legit 1st round talent because the Cowboys have the best offensive line in the league and he'll get a ton of work in what should be a high scoring offense (if Romo/Bryant stay healthy). I also think Elliott is straight up a better RB than Hyde even as a rookie, but even if he's not, the situation makes him a 1st round talent. He's in my top 4 RB's (Bell, Gurley, Elliott, Peterson) and you can make an argument that Elliott could be the best of the group (Bell's injury risk, Gurley's lack of talent around him and injury risk, Peterson's age).

Just out of curiosity, what are the other top options available to you with the #1 pick?
