Webzone Meh FFL Season 8 - Defending Champ Rubber

I think my Hollywood brown pick was pretty solid considering where I got him. Still mad I didn't see Javonte on the board and Boise got him. I like the way Boise drafts, always getting the best value possible.

In previous years I always thought that there were a couple of teams that had bad drafts and had little chance of making the playoffs. I cannot say that this year as there really isnt a great spread between any teams.

Yeah, I like the teams, good job everyone. Will be interesting to see how Kriz does compared to Gore. Seems like Kriz backed the PPR aspect and Gore just went with talent.

I have Chase Edmonds which was left out, I think he's got a chance to be great, especially if Mostert is Mosthurt.

I was trying to grab late RB depth but people kept taking them just before, shows the talent in the room and was very frustrating!

My strategy going in was RB/RB (was expecting Swift and Kamara. Was hoping for Mixon/Kamara) then Mahomes and Pitts. That would have given me plug and play players at my key positions and load up with mid tier WRs.

Mahomes went earlier than I anticipated considering the history of this league. Then WRs I liked were coming off the board quick.

I'm definitely not loving my WR position, wish I would have just hedged my Julio pick with Gage instead of Osborn. That said, easiest position to find lightning in a bottle.

if you had to predict what team you will beat in the championship, who and why .

I looked at every team each team had a situation they could be #1 ( ex CMC stays healthy , Zeke is a top 3-5 RB)

I think BigMac team may start slow but could get really hot by end of year and unfortunately have their dreams destroyed by mine in the SHIP

For me It's going to take Singletary and St. Brown to play the way they ended the season last year. So to play this little game I'm going to assume they do and I will be playing...... the winner of NinerJohn and Waterbear

Your scenario. IMO is Singletary plays strong and then by end of season loses touches to the rookie , but Hopkins returns to 2019 form and becomes the flex .

Renfrow doesn't drop off in targets and St Brown improves on last year .

I pretty much followed my strategy all the way through and things fell pretty well for me.

• 1st rd... i was going to take the best RB available. Cook was my target and he fell to me
• 2nd rd unless Swift fell to me I was taking the best WR. Was shocked Diggs fell that far. Thought I would get Lamb
• 3rd rd I liked the WRS better than the RBS in the 3rd. Projected Pittman or Allen but happy with Evans
• 4th rd. RB was my target here. I was pretty sure I would get Etienne, Akers, or Zeke. Almost didnt
• 5th rd I always like 3 rbs in first 5 picks. Montgomery will get a lot of touches and good value here in my opinion
• 6th rd this was where i targeted my QB. It was going to be Hurts or Murray or wait until the end for Dak
• 7th rd WR was my target. Boise took my 2 guys in Mooney and Jeudy but really like Bateman a lot here too

I think the TE group is very strong in a 10 or 12 team league which is why I waited until the end. Kmet could be a huge surprise for me and I think Knox and Friermuth could be very strong as well. Personally, I think holding off on QB and TE is the way to go and have a strong group of RBs and WRS. Anyway, we will see if it works

If I dont have major injuries and Zeke ,Monty, or Penny come up big this year I do think I will make the playoffs. Once you are in the playoffs anything can happen and the top seed usually doesnt win. My prediction for this game would be that my team will beat Boise in the finals. That is assuming that Boise makes a trade at some point and uses one of his elite WRs to get an very good RB.

Thanks Blizz, I don't think my team is one of the best, I was supposed to grab an RB in the 5th (probably AJ Dillon) didn't expect Kittle to be there and couldn't resist, figured I'd catch up and had several lined up only to end up with Melvin Gordon as my 3.

If I were to luck my way to the final I think I'd be playing Ron, the path being one I forsee of Saquan having a huge bounce back year.

I'm petrified of Chase, think he might break records, I'd have considered him as early as #4, I hope I play Ron with him on a bye.

Not feeling too confident about my team, which probably means its going to be great. Seems like everytime I love my team, it ends up being trash haha.
