So last offseason I don't believe we voted on median scoring. If I remember correctly we were limited to essentially voting on how we were handling the playoff format.

Is median scoring an option for discussion next year?

I'm sitting 6-4 my median record would be 15-5. I like that record better.

There is a median scoring in my dynasty league and I like it a lot. I am also a big fan of Sleeper. Think it would be beneficial to switch from Yahoo.

+1
I've never done median scoring. Its like you are talking in hieroglyphics to me
I would be down to switch to Sleeper, but am most likely against changing to median scoring. But then again, I have never done it before so not entirely sure how it works.

Never liked sleeper leagues. They are fun for the first couple of years, then people start tanking. And then one or two teams just end up dominating

Ive never done it either. By my understanding though. Your head to head record is what it is. But you have a 2nd record added to it. If you finish in top half of the league for that week you get a win. If you finish in bottom half for that week you get a loss.

This week for instance. I lost the head to head but finished 2nd in scoring so my record this week would be 1-1. In contrast Ellen won her head to head but finished bottom half of the league this week so her record too would be 1-1.

If that is how it works, its the best "solution " to take some of the scheduling "luck" out of the equation.

Your current record is 5-5 you finished top half 7 times so your median record would be 12-8

Again, if I'm properly understanding how it works.

Wait what? Sleeper is a fantasy platform, like Yahoo and ESPN are.

That's right Kriz, I've also never done it but have campaigned for it pretty hard. I think it has two huge benefits and no downside I can see. First like Kriz says it removes some of the schedule related luck, both getting the 2nd highest and losing or 2nd lowest and winning. You also have more to look at and fight for. Say like last week you're playing the Burrow/Chase stack, you've lost but you can still fight to come top 6.

Also playoffs are decided later as you can win 2 games a week and those you're chasing could lose 2. I'm not sure if that's a benefit or not though.
Also Sleeper is a great platform

What makes Sleeper better than yahoo?

Same question

EDIT: I ask because I've never played on Sleeper. I love yahoo and fantrax and HATE ESPN. Would love to know what separates them.

Just think of it like you are playing 2 games per week instead of 1. 1 vs your opponent, 1 vs the average score of the league.
