Seriously? If Singletary won't put Carr in a game, what makes you think he'd put the #3 QB in? It's not happening...not as long as Singletary's head coach. Those days could and should be numbered, though, so who knows after that. I think the best course is to do whatever it takes to draft Andrew Luck...he's a local kid who's blossoming at Stanford and would be an instant fan favorite. He looks to have the kind of talent we need at QB...and in contrast to what Alex had to go through, Luck would have a much better team around him from the get-go. Especially if Jed does the right thing and brings in Gruden or Billick to get our offense back on track.

Does anybody know enough about this kid to make an accurate assessment as to how good he is or isn't? Seriously, why was he available for us to pick up and how does this make him better than Carr?

If Alex is still playing like crap through 8 games, then the Niners might as well give Troy a shot. Although, he missed all of the mini camps and training camp. He's doomed to fail if he plays this season.
